When we help somebody with the idea that he can’t help himself, we fail to see all of him. We fail to respect and trust him. But when we gently ask questions, we offer a safe place for him to find his own way. We move toward loving him unconditionally. And we can do that when we have come to see, respect, trust, and love our self unconditionally.
