Happy Labor Day, my dear friends!
May we be reminded to labor only in love.
I was born eager, but I had to learn patience. I had to stop believing in shortcuts. There is no path from here to there that bypasses learning to navigate the terrain between here and there. And no matter how diligently we work, we can only reach true happiness by looking inward to discover what is worthy of our labor. And only in letting go of what is unworthy of our labor, are we revealed as the hero of our story. Today, I feel soulfully grateful–not for a shortcut, but for the work of a lifetime.
