The end of May, I turned 61 and shared a picture of me in a swimsuit. I got over 500 reactions–a record. I thought, “Hmmm, I should buy a new swimsuit.”
The end of June, Sam and I celebrated 13 years of marriage. And I realized that I had not bought a new swimsuit in 13 years! That says something.
It says I had nothing to prove to myself or to Sam. So far, so good … BUT maybe it says more than that. Maybe it says I was letting settled and menopause define me too much. Yikes!
I bought this new swimsuit, and then I bought another one!
