Betray love, and you betray yourself …

Don’t love people because they’re lovable. Love them because you are love; and that’s what love does! Likewise, don’t do a good job to get a paycheck. Do a good job because that’s what love does. Don’t smile to cheer somebody up. Smile because that’s what love does. Don’t tell the truth because you’re afraid of getting caught in a lie. Do it because that‘s what love does.

Sweep the floor, pay the bill, exercise, wash your face, give somebody a cup of water … because that’s what love does.

And no matter what it is, if love wouldn’t do it, if you can’t do it with your whole heart, don’t betray who you are to do it!
