Sharing a piece of the magic from Valentines’s Day. This is the only photo I took. After our walk, and getting sprinkled on, the sun parted the clouds. My baby decided to jump in the 72-degree water, same temperature as the springs. What better way to refresh himself before his massage a few minutes later.
We had scheduled a visit to my Mom’s the day before, Saturday … and we just let the rest of the weekend flow. We called for a reservation on the way to a restaurant Saturday afternoon. Little did we know, they’d be serving their Valentine’s Day specials, which were I-don’t-have-words delicious. Banana brulee with coconut foam! Who knew?
Sunday is always our day of rest, and we took it. Here’s what I’m really thankful for.
Our life is blessed. We know what feels good; and we make conscious choices every day to create our little piece of heaven. There are always flowers gracing our space, always chocolates in the pantry. Our “forever young” room always smells like lavender. And if you’re on the bed, you’re fair game.
To do justice to Valentine’s Day, we have to celebrate it every day. Some days that’s really hard work. But we can’t force magic. We have to let it happen … after we do the work.
Life is way cool. We get out what we put in.
Love smiles,
