Once we realize that we, alone, are responsible for how we feel, we no longer blame somebody else for it. We stop making excuses or trying to justify negative emotion, words, and behavior. We know that when we feel negative, it’s because we got scared and pushed love aside.
Love is enough. But it can’t coexist with fear.
A word of caution, though: To assume responsibility for your own behavior is NOT to condone the negative behavior of others. Don’t subject yourself to a diet of disrespect. Feed yourself love. And trust love to provide everything good. Trust love enough to take action, knowing everything good is already yours. Close your eyes and see it.
Assume responsibility for your own feelings, align with love, and take action. Love those who aren’t ready to do that. But don’t let them scare you.
