Are you tempted by the majority? The easy path forward? The comfort of the familiar? They can all lead us astray. But holding our ground to stand on the truth, often means chaos. In time, we get it: Chaos is a small price to pay for true peace.
Pseudo peace is cheap, but still over-priced and hard to live with. True peace is worth whatever it costs; because without it, we have nothing.
Our heart knows that, but we get it in our head that we can smooth things over, take the easy road, or sugar-coat the truth to avoid pain. We think when the ashes settle, we’ll have the presence of mind to get back to center. But center is what we just walked away from.
We can’t choose pseudo peace and true peace. Thankfully, we get to keep choosing.
