Do you find yourself wishing you were more authentic, more fearless?
To be truly authentic and fearless, we have to invalidate the lies we grew up on, the lies that fueled our defenses. Fear is based on the lie that we have something to be afraid of, something to hide or be ashamed of. We can, of course, tell ourselves that we have nothing to fear. But that doesn’t magically delete the fear. We have to be convinced. We have to feel like we have something solid to stand on.
The truth is: We have nothing to fear. But that’s just the beginning. How do you convince yourself of that? You have to follow your own path back to that truth. You have to reassess how you first embraced the fear and accepted the false data as conclusive. You sanctioned it when you were vulnerable and learning to navigate rejection and survival.
By discovering how and why you empowered the lie, you also shine a light on the truth. You make the truth feel more real than the lie. And you are no longer trying to live somebody’s else’s theory that you have nothing to fear. You know you have nothing to fear.
