When we experience feelings of fear, we activate large areas of the lower brain (fight or flight) AND deactivate areas of the higher brain.
And we use the higher brain for:
~ Creativity and imagination
~ Problem-solving
~ Reasoning and reflection
~ Self-awareness
~ Kindness, empathy, and concern
Let’s use this insight to cut our arguments short, pause before we attack, and take a breath before we give up on anything or anybody. And, let’s remember that we have nothing to fear. The mother of all our fears is that we are not good enough. WE ARE! Love is.
