Don’t be afraid of falling …
It was in the devastation of a second divorce (after waiting 16 years to try again), that I resolved to get relationships right.
And the College of Relationships opened up to me. My boss presented me with a choice. I could adapt to restructuring, which meant less authority on a local level, or I could resign. And in one fearless moment, I seized the divine nudge to quit my corporate job and write. It took the editor at my local newspaper to tell me what I was writing about … Relationships.
I interviewed the best of the experts to launch a weekly column that got picked up by Creators Syndicate. Little did I know that relationships were as much science as art and spirit … and that we can’t love somebody else any better than we love ourself.

Dear Friends …
As much as we wrestle with what to do, trying to figure out what comes next, I believe we always know what best serves us. And when we’re ready to take the next step, we see it.
How can we discover it a little sooner? By being still. Hence, the indecision. Being still is one of our greatest challenges.
But we can still our mind, even when we can’t seem to still our body. That’s why answers come to us in the shower. When we’re on automatic pilot, we quiet the logical, left side of our brain, which is the dominant side for most of us.
There are other ways to quiet our mind, though. Think about what comforts you (without making you fat) and helps to ground you. Maybe it’s folding the laundry, or walking, or drawing.
In the stillness, let the next step reveal itself. You’ll know it’s yours. And you’ll know how to do it.
