When we feel grateful, it’s because we know we have enough. We know we are enough. We’re not afraid of coming up short or being short. We’re at peace. We’re happy.
So what must we do to feel grateful? We must give our attention to what brings us joy, true joy. That means shifting our focus from getting and having, to feeling and being.
Let’s consciously make the shift–not once and for all. We can’t do that. We make the shift one choice at a time. We choose a meal we have a taste for. We choose an exercise that suits US. We choose a partner that feels like going home. We stop choosing what somebody else recommends, or what looks good on a resume or a post!
We choose what matters over what doesn’t. We choose love over fear; because the mother of all our fears is that we’re not enough.
Gratitude is ours, in love,
