I remember when the holidays filled my thinking, my days, and my nights, with gifts, and wrapping, and parties, and what to wear. But the holidays only mirrored my obsession, my ego’s obsession, with how to make sure everybody knew I loved them. I could have just loved them.
Now, I do. Every day, I do. And when Christmas comes around, they know I do.
