When this heart fell from a shelf 10 feet off the ground, while we were sleeping, I contemplated the lesson.
Weeks later, after putting the heart back together with a bonding agent, it occurred to me that rather than hide the repair seam, I could paint it with gold. And voila, another lesson: Every heart is intended to learn the value of breaking … and mending.
May we grow in grace and beauty, strength and resilience, compassion and purity. May we grow in love.
